Shaheen Pearl Necklace
An elaborate contemporary Indian necklace centered around the majestic bird motif, dressed with polki/uncut diamonds using the traditional jadai technique. The eye of the bird is decorated with chudi work.
The bird is suspended in the air from a rectangular piece of nephrite, kundan-set with diamonds. On either side of the nephrite are circular units colored in bright blue meena and inlaid with a kundan-set polki in the center. The units are bordered by a line of seed pearls using chakkar piraai.
The necklace is strung on lines of seed pearls, which meet at finials handcrafted using patwa work.
